Say hello
to Nippu

As an accountant, you face numerous repetitive and sometimes time-consuming tasks when working with your clients. Nippu aims to be the go-to tool for accounting companies to use with their client businesses, simplifying tasks like employee expense reimbursement.

Nippu is currently in its early stages of development. We are starting with a carefully selected subset of the most critical features, and with your feedback and help, we will continue to develop new functionalities to ensure Nippu suits your needs as well as possible. Our current priority is to onboard a handful of small to medium-sized accounting companies to pilot Nippu and kickstart the feedback loop.

Building software is challenging. It is even more difficult to build software intended to serve a diverse group of users with widely different needs. Accounting software is a prime example of such a case. There are at least three distinct user groups to support:

  • Accountants require the most pro-oriented features to perform their jobs effectively. Existing accounting software solutions, such as Netvisor and Procountor, offer excellent options with all the necessary features readily available.
  • Executives are primarily interested in understanding high-level metrics related to their business' financial performance. While they may not require access to granular accounting data, they need robust reporting capabilities.
  • Employees need tools to submit receipts for accounting purposes, receive reimbursement for business-related expenses, or input trip details to apply for kilometer allowances, among other tasks.

Each user group has significantly different needs. Building a single software product that accounts for every user's needs is extremely challenging. Nippu aims to primarily target the latter two user groups while enabling accountants to effortlessly sync essential data between their preferred accounting software, whether it be Netvisor, Procountor, or another solution.

Why build something new?

Nippu's development is driven by the following guiding principles:

  • Opinionated: Nippu focuses on doing a few things exceptionally well, rather than trying to be everything to everyone. We make thoughtful decisions about what to include and what to omit. Developed features are relevant, valuable to your workflow, and tailored to the specific needs of accounting companies.
  • Modern: Waiting for spinners, navigating clunky UIs, and encountering random errors can be frustrating. Nippu is built with a relentless focus on speed, intuitive design, and overall ease of use. We take pride in crafting polished software experiences.
  • Intentional: It is not uncommon for software products to keep adding new features over time. At some point, the core functionality becomes bloated with unnecessary features. We want to keep Nippu simple to use and have a robust set of core features without the bloat.
